You are welcome to surf the website of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals (MOM) as it constitutes a very modest window through which we hope that the site’s staff were lucky enough to provide as much as possible of information to enable you know more about Yemen’s exciting and serene reality.

The aim of the website is to first introduce ourselves and second to expose the most outstanding and available investment opportunities, incentives and facilities offered by the Republic of Yemen’s government as means to stimulate investment in the oil, gas and minerals sectors. As you move on, you would be able to grasp our visions regarding achieving development and progress in these sectors. All of that is to have a better and brighter future.  

We, in the Republic of Yemen, welcome all investors and invite them to have a closer look at Yemen, which, being  a blessed country, possesses appealing geological features and countless riches. Not only is Yemen rich in having oil and gas potentials but also minerals wealth. Scientifically, studies and researches have confirmed that there are great and abundant quantities of such riches of diverse types scattered in different areas of the country. This could possibly be because Allah, the Almighty, describes Yemen in the Holy Qur’an as “A fair land and an indulgent Lord!” (Surah No. 34: 15 (Sheba).

Beyond the shadow of doubt, the Yemeni investment climate and atmosphere are getting all possible support from HE President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the first investment advocate. His clear directives and development policies have significantly and crucially effected the issue of offering investors inspiring and encouraging incentives and facilities.

In such an atmosphere, I invite brotherly and friendly investors, especially those following the developments in the Yemeni arena, to make use of the convenient investment climate in the Land of Opportunities. They should not hesitate to snatch the open investment opportunities which are still virgin, promising and fruitful.

Today, Yemen looks at oil industry with a very investment mentality. It realizes that simplifying access to, expanding investment opportunities and conducting the open-door policy and transparency constitute high significance in attracting investors. This is so that prosperity and benefit could be gained by all parties─ the government, investors, capitals flowing to Yemen to invest in these fields.

Indeed, it is possible for us to inform  companies, capitals and investors(with far insights) that Yemen is the source of your success, in particular that all the doors are widely open for all of you. For sure, our existing reality is a living testimony demonstrating the great efforts and hard work being done to move on until we, by Allah’s will, achieve the greatest expectations. This could be through putting into use practical mechanisms, making opportunities available for companies, and having better qualifications and up-to-date techniques.
